February Maintenance Report
This month the crepe myrtles were
shaped and pruned of any dead growth.
Most of the plant material did well during
the freezing temperatures with the
exception of the flax lily. The picture
below shows the extent of the damage. I
believe this is the area Mark was referring
to in his report. When I was there on 2/23
these plants were beginning to show
Canopy Oaks
signs of new growth at the base. During our
first visit in March, we will remove the brown
foliage from the flax lily and any other plant
material as needed. At the end of February all
of the turf, both bahia and zoysia were treated
for weeds. During March, all material will be
fertilized in preparation of the new growth to
follow.
The irrigation is operating at the current
watering restriction of one day per
week. The restriction changes to two
days per week when daylight savings
time starts. The Weather Trak controller
is being monitor daily for any problems
and the monthly irrigation inspections
have only detected minor head breaks.
