Seasonal trimming and cutbacks continued
this month. Lifting trees, cleaning out the
ferns and picking up limbs and moss were
the norm. The cold temperatures have
continued to keep the growth of the sod to
a minimum. At the beginning of February,
we mulched all of the landscape beds
throughout the property. The annuals were
also changed to pansies. These are doing
well in the cool wet weather.

The turf areas have been treated for weeds.
However with the cooler temperatures the
herbicide will require some time to take effect.
Any remaining frost damaged material will be
trimmed off in the coming weeks. The irrigation
system is operating with very minimum run
times. This will continue to be closely monitored
and adjusted as needed.

Next month, we will begin fertilizing the
turf and shrubs to prepare for the coming
growing season.
