February Maintenance Report
Throughout February the cold weather
continued which helped the extend the
dormancy of the plants and grasses. The
one exception are the maple trees. They
have decided to start sprouting new
growth in February. At this time it
appears that the only permanent frost
damage is to the azaleas around Building
"H". I will have an exact count of possible
replacements in March.
Suncoast Crossing
Due to the cold weather we have decided to
postpone the fertilizing process a few weeks
until the chance a frost is gone. I estimate we
would begin spreading in mid March. Winter
weeds in the islands have been sprayed or
pulled and the turf weeds have been given one
spray treatment. The turf treatment will continue
monthly or as needed until the bahia begins
growing and crowds out the broadleaf weeds..
The irrigation is still running a decreased
schedule due to the cold temperatures and
wet weather.. This will be closely
monitored and adjusted as needed.
